When someone joins your team, they need email, a device, access to the right files, and accounts for whatever software your business uses — before they can do their job. When someone leaves, all of that needs to be locked down right away. Most small businesses handle this informally, which works until it doesn't. A former employee who still has access to your email or business accounts is a real security risk, and a new employee waiting two days to get their login sorted out is a productivity problem from day one. We do this for you — you call us, we get it done.
This is a service, not a guide. We're not here to give you a checklist to work through yourself. When you have a new hire starting or someone leaving the company, you call us and we take care of the IT side. That's the whole point.
What we handle
-
✓
New Employee IT Onboarding
We configure a device for your new hire — whether that's a machine you already have or one we help you procure. Operating system set up, software installed, connected to your network, and ready to use. We also create their email account, set up their access to shared drives or company files, and make sure their permissions match their role. A new employee should have everything they need on day one without you scrambling to make it happen.
-
✓
Employee Offboarding & Access Revocation
When an employee leaves — whether it's planned or sudden — their access needs to go away immediately. We disable their email account, revoke access to file storage and business software, recover company data from their device, and change any shared credentials they may have known. We can do this quickly when needed. If you ever wonder whether a former employee could still get into your systems, call us and we'll audit it.

✓
Password Management Setup (LastPass, Bitwarden)
If your team shares passwords over text message, keeps them in a spreadsheet, or reuses the same password across everything, that's a problem waiting to happen. We set up a business password manager — we typically recommend Bitwarden for its combination of security and low cost, or LastPass for teams already familiar with it — so credentials are stored securely, shared only with the right people, and revocable when someone leaves. Getting this right once saves a lot of headaches later.
-
✓
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Setup
MFA is the single most effective way to stop account takeovers. We enable and configure MFA on your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace accounts, business email, and any other critical systems — and we walk your team through how to use it so it doesn't become a daily frustration. Most small businesses can have MFA deployed across their accounts in a single session.
-
✓
Microsoft 365 & Google Workspace User Management
Adding a new user, removing someone who left, adjusting licenses, resetting passwords, managing shared mailboxes, setting up distribution lists — all of the ongoing admin work that comes with running your business on M365 or Google Workspace. We can handle it on a one-off basis when you need it, or on a recurring basis if you'd rather just call us instead of digging through the admin portal yourself.

Access Audit
Not sure who currently has access to what? We'll review your accounts across email, file storage, and business software and give you a clear picture — including any accounts belonging to former employees that were never properly closed out. This is the right place to start if you've had turnover and never had a formal offboarding process.
Do I need this if I only have a few employees?
Yes — small businesses are frequent targets for account-based attacks specifically because they tend to have fewer controls in place. The good news is that the basics (MFA, a password manager, proper offboarding) aren't expensive or complicated to set up. A small investment in doing this right once prevents a much larger problem later. If you have even one person on your team with access to business email or financial software, these basics are worth putting in place.
How much does this cost?
Onboarding and offboarding work is billed at our standard rate ($100/hr, minimum 30 minutes) for remote or on-site within Aberdeen and Hoquiam depending on what's involved. Most single-employee onboarding sessions run one to two hours. Password manager and MFA deployment is typically a flat project — call us with your setup and we'll give you a number before we start.
