Networking services for small businesses

Whether you're setting up a brand new office or finally fixing a network that was cobbled together over the years, we design and install it to last.

Small Office WiFi Deployment

We do a proper site survey, place access points where they'll actually cover your space, and configure everything for reliability — not just signal bars. No dead zones, no dropped calls during video meetings. We use business-grade gear (Ubiquiti UniFi and similar) with controller-based management so your network is easy to support long-term.

Wired Network & Structured Cabling

For workstations and equipment that need maximum reliability, nothing beats a wired connection. We run Cat6 cable cleanly — through walls, above ceilings, in conduit where required — terminate it properly at a patch panel, and label everything. Your office looks professional and your network performs like it should.

Router & Firewall Setup

Your router is the front door to your network. We configure it correctly — firewall rules, VLAN segmentation, guest network isolation, remote access — so unauthorized traffic can't get in and your legitimate traffic isn't throttled. We don't just plug in a Netgear and call it a day.

Network Troubleshooting & Performance

Slow speeds, random dropouts, devices that won't connect, or a network that's just never worked right — we find the actual root cause, not just restart the router and hope it sticks. We can usually diagnose and resolve most performance issues in a single visit.

VPN Setup for Remote Workers

Need staff to securely access the office from home or on the road? We set up a site-to-site or remote-access VPN so your team can connect to office resources without exposing everything to the open internet. Simple for your employees to use, properly secured on the back end.

Network Security Hardening

Default router passwords, open guest networks, flat network topology, unpatched firmware — these are common and easily exploited. We go through your network configuration and close the obvious gaps: VLAN segmentation, strong credentials, firmware updates, and a guest network that's actually isolated from your business systems.

Most jobs are flat-rate projects

Networking work is quoted per project after we assess your space. These ranges give you a realistic idea of what small business jobs typically cost — every quote is in writing before we start.

WiFi Deployment

$299 – $899

Single AP up to a full small-office deployment with 2–4 access points, site survey, SSID config, and guest network. Hardware billed at cost + 20%.

Wired Network / Cabling

$599 – $1,500+

Small office drop package (up to 12 runs) includes patch panel, keystones, and labels. Single runs start at $75–$125 each. Larger jobs quoted individually.

Router / Firewall Setup

$299 – $499

Includes security policy configuration, VLANs if needed, and remote access setup. Hardware at cost + 20%.

Troubleshooting & Fixes

$100/hr on-site

Most troubleshooting visits run 1–2 hours. Aberdeen and Hoquiam have a 1-hour minimum; extended areas add mileage. Remote diagnosis available at $100/hr.

Typical small office networking project range: $300–$1,200. Larger or more complex installs — multi-floor buildings, structured cabling with conduit, multi-AP controller deployments — are scoped individually. We always walk the building before quoting cabling. Contact us for a free assessment and written estimate.

From call to working network — four steps

We don't show up and start drilling. Every project starts with understanding your space and your needs.

1

Assessment

We walk your space — or connect remotely for troubleshooting jobs — to understand what you have, what you need, and what the building presents in terms of access and obstacles.

2

Written Quote

You get a flat-rate project quote in writing before anything starts. Line-item breakdown, scope of work, what's included and what isn't. No surprises on the invoice.

3

Installation

We do the work cleanly and professionally — cables labeled and terminated correctly, hardware mounted properly, configuration done and tested before we leave.

4

Test & Document

We test every run, every connection, and every device before the job is done. You get a simple network diagram and a record of what was installed — so you always know what you have.

Common questions

A WiFi deployment for a small office (1–3 APs) usually takes half a day. A structured cabling job for a small office with 8–12 drops is typically a full day, sometimes two if the building is complex. We give you a time estimate when we quote the project so you can plan accordingly — most installs don't require you to close or pause operations.
Yes. Home network setup, WiFi troubleshooting, mesh network deployment, and dead zone fixes are all services we offer for residential customers. Home network setup starts at $99–$149. If you're just dealing with slow WiFi or a dead zone, that's usually a $79–$129 visit. We can also set up smart home devices while we're there.
For business WiFi deployments we prefer Ubiquiti UniFi — it gives us controller-based management, proper AP placement, and long-term supportability. For firewalls and routers we work with Ubiquiti, pfSense/OPNsense, and Cisco Meraki depending on the business's needs and budget. We're not brand-locked — if you already have equipment worth keeping, we'll work with it and be honest if something needs replacing.
Almost certainly, yes. Slow WiFi is usually one of a handful of things: AP placement, channel congestion, old or misconfigured equipment, or just too many devices on an underpowered router. We diagnose the actual cause — not just tell you to buy a mesh system and hope for the best. Call us at (206) 745-2124 or fill out the contact form and describe what you're dealing with. Most WiFi issues are fixable in a single visit.
Our Managed IT plans include network device monitoring as an add-on to endpoint coverage. If you want ongoing monitoring of your router, switches, and access points — plus someone to call when something acts up — that's the right fit. You can also purchase block hours that don't expire, which works well for businesses that need occasional help but aren't ready for a monthly plan. Ask us about either option when you reach out.
